Story: 

In 1944, he attended to a golf tournament in the présence of stars, at the Los Angeles Country Club.

He took a dashing blond in picture, he would later recognize as Marilyn 

But those pictures were probably taken after 1944, maybe in August 1947 at the famous golf tournament Cheviot Hills Country Club, West Los Angeles, where Marilyn served as a caddy for actor John Carroll:

Indeed, in 1944 Marilyn (still Norma Jeane at that time) lived in North Hollywood and worked at the Radio Plane Munitions Factory, near Burbank.

Moreover, she didn't dye her hair anymore and only became blond since December 1945.
