Story

Marilyn hired him for the movie "The Prince and The Showgirl" because she had learned that he was one of the 10 best English photography operators, unique in his way to treat the color.

She met him in London, auround July 19, 1956.

He had many references : an Academy Award for "Black Narcissus" (1946), his participation to "A Matter of Life and Death" (1946),"The Red Shoes" (1948), "The African Queen" (1951), "War and Peace" (1956) and many other movies.

At the end of the 50's, he directed many movies. 

On the shooting of "The Prince and The Showgirl", he took many pictures of Marilyn, and one of them in a Renoir model.
