EGHAM

Located in England.

Marilyn lived there between July and November 1956, during the shooting of "The Prince and The Showgirl" (1957).

Arthur Miller and Marilyn lived in Parkside House, in the property of Englefield Green, Egham, near the castle of Windsor, the residence of the Queen, and 45mn from London by car

They rented the house from Lord Charles Garrett Ponsonby Moore (), managing director of the Financial Times, and to his wife, pianist concert Joan Carr.

It was a mansion from the 18th Century with 5 bedrooms, with oak beams surrounded by a park of 4 acres and a rose garden.

Before their arrival, Milton Greene made one of the bedrooms repainted in whote for Marilyn, and made sure that the windows had thick curtains to guarantee her a beauty sleep. Marilyn didn't like the house and found that for 120£ a week, it lacked amenities; she found it cold and damp.

In such pure British tradition, the reporters surrounded the gate of the property during all their stay.
