Date of birth : June 1, 1904, Covington, Kentucky.
Date of death : May 17, 1992, Hollywood, California.
Practise: photographer. Known as the "Rembrandt of photography".

Story
He opened his own photo studio in Los Angeles in 1927.
His first portraits of
celebrities were those of Ramon Navarro and the movie queen Norma Shearer.
Irving G.Thalberg, director of the production at the MGM
named him head of photography, and notably of the
portraits gallery.
He stayed there from 1930 to 1933.
He made the most famous
portraits of the biggest stars of the MGM.
