Date of death : July 16, 1988, Woodland Hills, California.

He was the one with who Marilyn worked the more often : "All About Eve" (1950) (), "Monkey

Business" (1952), "The Seven Year Itch" (1955) ()  and "Bus Stop" (1956).

 

On the list she subjected to the Fox, he belonged to the 4 directors of photography she agreed to work with.

He won an Academy Award for "Three Coins in the Fountain" (1954).
