). They had a daughter Mary Jeannette (born on October 23, 1918, Iowa).
With Mary Elizabeth Polokow (born in 1901 in Philadelphia), they had a daughter Elise Sandra (born on Seètember 3rd, 1928, Illinois).
On June 21, 1933 he married Matilda Korman (born in Russia in 1907; immigrated on September 30, 1913
), in Illinois. They had a daughter Sonia (March 12, 1936, Minnesota-August 5, 2005, California)
He studied drawing at the Chicago Art Institute and at the Art Students' League in New York City, at the end of the 20's, beginning of the 30's.
He became famous with his pin-up and glamorous artists drawings (with Vargas and Petty, other illustrators).
He often took pictures of his models, which then were the basis of
his illustrations, which were reproduced on calendars and in joung
women magazines as Flirt, Wink and Giggles.
She needed money and he was one the biggest lovely girls draftsman in the USA.
Between 1946 and 1949, he paid her 10$ an hour to take pictures of her, often not much dressed
He used those snapshots to make charcoal and chalk drawings, which some of them were used, among others, for the famous Brown and Bigelow calendar.
