Then he went to work at the Fox, Universal, RKO and MGM, then went back to the Warner, to exclusively work at the costumes creation for the Bette Davis movies.
InHollywood, her friend Cary Grant recommended him to the Warner Brothers, where he worked at the wardrobe for 11 years.
He won the Best Costume Design Academy Award for "An American in Paris" (MGM, 1951), "Les Girls" (MGM,
1957) and "Some Like it Hot" (1959)(,).
