Hollywood restaurant exclusively reserved to the big bosses of the movie industry and ran by Gloria and Mike Romanoff (auto-appointed "Russian prince", actually born in the USA, who appeared in several movies).

Marilyn was a regular client of this place since the end of the 40's; it was Johnny Hyde who took her there. 

In November 1954 this restaurant was chosen by Charles Feldman, then Marilyn's agent, for a party organized in Marilyn's honor, including 80 guests, among them Darryl Zanuck, Samuel Goldwyn and Jack Warner, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Claudette Colbert, Gary Cooper, Susan Hayward, Loretta Young, Billy Wilder.

To Marilyn, one of the main point of this party was to meet Clark Gable, very old idol and father figure, and to dance with him.

They mutually complimented about their work and said that they wanted to make a movie together.
