End of 1955 Marilyn left the Waldorf Astoria when the Marilyn Monroe Productions faced financial difficulties.

The apartment was owned by Milton Greene, who, unable to afford the suite at the Waldorf, settled Marilyn in his own apartment.

The Greenes, when they had to stay in town, settled in Milton's studio on Lexington Avenue.

It was from there that she went back to Hollywood, to shot "Bus Stop", in March 1956.

She lived there until, became Mrs Miller (), she rented an apartment on East 57th Street.
