WEATHERBY William.J

Date of birth : 1933, England.

Date if death : August 5, 1992, New York.

Profession

British reporter for the Manchester Guardian since 1952, he also wrote for Newsweek, for the New York Times and the Washington Post.

He made friends with Marilyn after their meeting on the shooting of "The Misfits" (1961).

Ten years after Marilyn's death, he plunged back again in the notes he had taken after his chattering with her, and gathered them together in a book "Conversations with Marilyn".

His American contacts informed him that Robert Kennedy had made a statement to the Los Angeles police about Marilyn's death, but this statement remained confidential.

Although, when Marilyn was still alive, he didn't want to believe the rumors, because of the risk represented for Marilyn who had never bear to be jilted, he didn't reject the possibility that, during the last year of her life, she had an affair with one of the Kennedy's brothers, or both of them.
