Here's a new section about French artists (drawer, painter or photographer) for who Marilyn has been

an inspiration.

Bruno

If you have looked through Marilyn's dedicated websites, you must have seen the wonderful and very touching Bruno's drawings.

Here are some of them :  ,,,,,

Pierre Alivon

pierrealivon.com

Artistic photographer, Pierre lives in Paris. His favourite subject matter is urban lifestyles and people.
He has travelled to the four corners of the globe in search of the photographs that best capture the zeitgeist and show people at their most authentic. Thanks to his discreet nature and discerning eye, Pierre blends effortlessly into diverse environments, and shines a light on details which both captivate and transport the observer. His singular approach has enabled him to create a photographic record of lifestyles throughout the world. He has explored some sixty countries to date, including Bhutan, Colombia, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Russia, Burma, Japan, China and South Africa.

He recently completed a project entitled "Memories of the Present" (www.1900paris.fr) which builds a bridge between Paris during the Belle Epoque and its current population. This is the fruit  of an unlikely union between his own photographs and those of a fashion photographer taken in 1900. He has since extended this work with a series entitled "Interpreting the Nude" which couples the erotic photography of 1900 with present-day codes, focusing especially on tattoos.

In Fall 2014, he was exhibited during the "Journées du Patrimoine" at the Train Bleu in Gare de Lyon, Paris, and also in Compiègne, for a contemporary vision of Marilyn Monroe.
