LAST DAY
She gave many phone calls; on the other hand, she only received few, because Eunice Murray didn't passed her all the calls on.
The list of the people with who she would have talked to is very impressive. Many are thoses who have claimed having played a part during this last day, but the recording of the calls hasn't been publicly revealed.
On August 3, Pat Newcomb spent the night at Marilyn's home. Marilyn woke up early after a bad night, not having much slept.
8.00 AM : arrival of Eunice Murray
for her day work.
9.00 AM : Marilyn had breakast, a glass of grapefruit. During the morning, she did some gardening and took delivery of plants and a table she had ordered.
10.00 AM : arrival of photographer Lawrence Schiller to look with her the pictures taken on the set of "Something's Got to Give"
(pool scene) - Marilyn chose some of them. Then, she called some friends.
Noon : Pat Newcomb got up.Eunice Murray prepared the breakfast.
1.00 PM : arrival of Ralph Greenson. He stayed with Marilyn
until 7.00 PM
3.00 PM : Greenson asked Pat Newcomb to leave and
Eunice Murray to take Marilyn for a walk on the beach.
A witness reported that Marilyn seemed "visibly occupied by something, because her step was shaky on the sand".
4.30 PM : Marilyn came back to have her therapy with Dr
Greenson.
Around 5.00 PM : Peter Lawford called Marilyn and invited her for dinner.
7.00 PM : Greenson left the house and asked Eunice
Murray to stay for the night.
7.15 PM : Joe DiMaggio Jr called, Marilyn was apparently in a good mood.
7.45 PM :
Peter Lawford
called to confirm the dinner. Alarmed by Marilyn's thick elocution, he
gave several phone calls and finally called Marilyn's lawyer, Milton
Rudin. This one talked to Eunice Murray, who assured him that Marilyn was fine.
From then on, the events became confused.
10.00 PM : the press agent Arthur Jacobs, was informed, during a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, about Marilyn's death - although at 11.00 PM Milton
Rudin had asserted Joe Naar, Peter Lawford's agent, that Marilyn was fine, that she was only under sedatives.
