GURDIN Michael M.

Date of birth : September 15, 1910, Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Date of death : January 26, 1993, Beverly Hills.

Practise : plastic surgeon in Los Angeles.

Story

He studied at the University of Arkansas and Tulane School of Medicine, and did his residency at Los Angeles' Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, where he was later chief of plastic surgery.

During the World War II he served in the Navy.

He established his own practice in Beverly Hills after the war, he also taught plastic surgery at UCLA.

He served as president of the California Society of Plastic Surgery from 1956 to 1957, president of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery from 1972 to 1973, and president of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 1974 to 1975.

Link with Marilyn

Sent by Johnny Hyde, he removed a light bump on her nose in 1949 or 1950.

Psychiatrist Ralph Greenson would have taken Marilyn, about 2 months before her death, at Dr Gurdin, because she had fell in her shower. Gurdin would have examined Marilyn and said that her nose wasn't broken.
