Story
Engaged
in the photographic field since he was 14, he was a former
vice-president of the New York Press Photographers Association and
chairman of its entertainment committee for 15 years. He joined the
photographic staff of the New York Evening Journal at 14 as an assistant in its "dark-room" and later became a cameraman.
In 1927 he joined the Metropolitan Photo Service and subsequently acquired control.
His
association with Metropolitan was interrupted only twice. He served on
a special assignment with the Hal Home Organization in connection with
Walt Disney's "Fantasia" and other films.
In World War II he spent 3 years in the Air Force Training Aids Division.
He died suddenly from a heart attack in April 1952.
He was married with Jane; they had 2 children Mary Jane and Peter.
