). 

They had a daughter Joan Rae (born January 12, 1930, Los Angeles ).

He remarried on April 24, 1948 in Las Vegas () with Gertrude Elizabeth Brownlee (June 7,

1902, Wisconsin-June 5,1949, Los Angeles ).

He studied photography with professional photographers, while he went to school.

He was specialized in portraits and run the photogtaphy department at the RKO from 1929 until his retirement at the end of the 50's.

He took many pictures of movie stars as Gloria Swanson, Fred Astaire, Katharine Hepburn, Ava Gardner, Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant.

He took Marilyn in pictures during the shooting of "Clash By Night" (1952) for the RKO.
