Story
He graduated from Brown University in 1932 and the Bellevue Hospital Medical School in 1936.
In World War II he was a major in the Army Air Forces Medical Corps.
He was a clinical associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the New York Medical College from 1980 to 1990 and a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Cornell Medical College from 1982 to 1988.
He was director of gynecology at Doctors Hospital, an attending obstetrician-gynecologist at Lenox Hill Hospital and maintained a private practice in Manhattan.
On December 23, 1937 he married, in New York, Helen Frances Volk (April 20, 1918, New York-September 30, 1999, New York). They had a daughter Heather Jane (March 5, 1945, Texas) who teaches the English literature at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
