Story

On March 30, 1932 he married Vera Almeda Matson (July 23, 1909, Nebraska-November 9, 1994, California)

Christina Vera (born February 18, 1944, Los Angeles)().

He worked with Marilyn as elocution and singing teacher on the shootings of "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953),

"River of No Return" (1954), "There's No Business Like Show Business" (1954) (), "Bus Stop" (1956).

His long career in composing and musical arrangements set for the most part at the Fox Studios.

He was several times nominated for the Academy Awards, notably for "Bus Stop", and received the Award for "The King and I" (1956), "Porgy and Bess" (1959) and "Camelot" (1967).
