Story
He attended
the University of California at Berkeley, pursuing a major in Art, and
later studied motion picture photography and set direction
at University of South California.
As a set designer at MGM, he developed a passion for photography and from there he went to work at Paul Hesse Studios, in the late 1930's.
On May 18, 1941 he married Phyllis Forbes (February 18, 1918, Los Angeles-May 12, 2011, Idaho)

She was one of the MGM's "Goldwyn Girls", a group of starlets who
appeared in movies with stars like Erroll Flynn, Bette Davis, Danny
Kaye.
On January 12, 1944, birth of his son Glenn F.
Few months later he was sent to China to serve as a photo officer in the 14th Air Force (Flying Tigers) during World War II.
He later opened his own studio in Hollywood and quickly became recognized as a color portrait and fashion photographer. His work appears in or on the covers of such fashion magazines as: Harper's, Vogue, Mademoiselle and Look.
He took pictures of a rather long list of famous people. He also was featured in calendars for his work with airplanes and cars. During his five-decade career in Hollywood, he photographed hundreds of motion pictures.
