Story

He graduated from Brooklyn College and Brooklyn Law School. He joined a Manhattan law firm, then began his own practise in 1973. He retired in 1981 when he fell ill (cerebellum atrophy).

He was a former vice-president of the Rebekah Harkness Foundation and the William Hale Harkness Foundation, which supported the dance. In 1967 he was co-chairman of the Mayor's Committee for the Shakespeare Festival.

On January 17, 1955 he married Marjorie MacMillan  (June 20, 1926, Pennsylvania - February 26, 2002,

Charlottesville ) they had 3 daughters : Juliana, Phoebe and Suzanna.

End of 1960 Marilyn contacted him, so that he is dealing with her divorce with Arthur Miller.

He accompanied her in Mexico for the divorce pronouncement on January 21, 1961.

He kept on working for her business affairs in New York.

In 1981 he was sued, accused by Marianne Kris to have siphoned off, to his benefit, the amount of 200 000$ he would have stolen from Marilyn Monroe's succession. An agreement was signed between them, out of court.
