Story

His parents were Fernando Leonardi (September 22, 1903, Italy-February 1979, New York) and Maria Salmaggi (March 27, 1900, Italy-May 22, 1959, New York). His father, a butcher, immigrated on May 21, 1921.

They married on July 6, 1924 in New York.

They had 3 children : Marie (born May 25, 1925, Brooklyn-2010), Peter and Ivane (born in 1942, New York).

He was used as driver, hairdresser and assistant at the time when she ran the Marilyn Monroe Productions with

He told James Haspiel, during the Summer 1955, that he had taken Marilyn to the nice area of Bowery, where she had given money to the homeless.

On August 6, 1955, he went with Marilyn to Bement (Illinois) where she attended the festivities for Bement's

Their collaboration stopped suddenly when he claimed (wrongly according to Donald Spoto) that Milton Greene and Marilyn had promised to help him to be self-employed. Leonardi had sued Marilyn and naively tried to win by hostaging Marilyn's fur coats. Between November 6 to 9, 1955, the case was solved.
