Story

Wanting to be an actor, Richard Miller began nevertheless photography, by taking pictures of his actors friends.

On June 15, 1937 he married Margaret Virginia Dudley (December 11, 1913, Los Angeles-June 12, 2008, Los

Angeles)(-).

They had a daughter Linda Louise (October 19, 1938, California-November 9, 1962, Los Angeles).

In 1939, he gave up the idea of being an actor, and started to work a free-lance photographer.

He refused a contract offer from the Columbia, wanting to remain independent.

In March and April 1946, he took Norma Jeane Dougherty in pictures for Personal romance magazine, where she posed with her own wedding-gown. She held a prayers book in her hands, belonging to Richard Miller's wife, Margaret Dudley
