Story

During the Second World War, he had served in the Us Army transmissions.

At the end of the war, he used the techniques he had invented for his own as a private detective, investigating on divorce and fraud cases.

He opened a detective agency under his wife, Barbara, maiden name, the B.R. Fox Company.

He would have set bugs in Marilyn's house and recorded the conversations she would have had with Robert Kennedy.

According to Anthony Summers, he had been hired by Jimmy Hoffa to try to obtain informations which could be used against Robert Kennedy.

In 1966, after an investigation led on him by the Manhattan District Attorney, Spindel revealed he had wiretapped Marilyn's house, but that the tapes had been stolen.

In 1982 the civil servants working for the Los Angeles District Attorney listened the tapes seized at Spindel's home in 1966; they officially declared that "none of the tapes hold something concerning Marilyn Monroe".
