The school year went on at Emerson High School (-

,).

Friday, June 27 she graduated 9th Grade ().

In September she attended the Van Nuys High School (,).

The Dougherty family lived next to the Goddards.

James (), aged 20, youngest of 5 children's family who had known hard times during the 1929 crisis,

had attended Van Nuys High School too, where he had been a popular student ().

In October the Goddards moved to Odessa Avenue, in another house belonging to Ana Lower.
Jim used to drive Norma Jeane and Bebe to school.


In December, Jim escorted Norma Jeane at the Adel Precisions Products' Christmas party, where Ervin Goddard worked.
