Story

Margaret Hohenberg, Marilyn's psychoanalyst, who had come to visit her during the shooting of 
"The Prince and The Showgirl" (1956 in London), recommended Marilyn to see her friend Anna Freud.

 

She pursued her father's work, Sigmund Freud () and mostly looked after children.

 
Anna Freud received Marilyn for several sessions, and recommended her the New Yorker psychoanalyst Marianne Kris.

In her will, Marilyn left a sum to Marianne Kris, asking her to make the best use of it. She chose to give the money to the Anna-Freud Foundation in London, which created a therapeutic unit for children, in the name of Marilyn.
