Story 

Popular feminine star at the beginning of the 50's (), she played opposite Marilyn in "Niagara" (1953) where she was Polly Cutler, the innocent woman taken hostage by Joseph Cotten, at the end of the movie

According to some testimonies, the femme fatale part Marilyn played, had been first written for Jean Peters. 
But the most popular version is that she was called upon to stand in for Anne Baxter, who had withdrew from the project, after the part of Polly Cutler had lost its importance.

With Marilyn, she had played in "As Young As You Feel" (1951) and they appeared in different sketchs in "O'Henry's Full House" (1952).

 
During the shooting of "Let's Make Love" (1960), Jean Peters and her husband Howard Hughes, lived in the apartment above Marilyn and Arthur Miller's one, at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

She appeared in other movies : "Viva Zapata" (1952), "Three Coins in the Fountain" (1954) and "A Man Called Peter" (1955).

She first married Stuart W.Cramer III in 1954 (). In 1955 they divorced.

She put an end to her movie career to marry Howard Hughes in 1957.

Their wedding lasted until 1971; after that, she was, again, the star of some TV movies.

She married her last husband on August 27, 1971 in Los Angeles. Stanley L. Hough was a producer (July 23,

1918-February 23, 1990 )(,).
