Story
Spanish residence for budding actresses, created by Mary Pickford in 1916 but settled at this address in 1926
Three-storey building, with furnished and luminous rooms, restaurant, patio with a fountain. It could welcome 94 people.
Many successful actresses lived at a moment in this stay hotel affiliated to the YWCA (Young Women's Christian Association), among them Barbara Eden, Linda Darnelle, Donna Reed, Kim Novak.
Marjorie Williams ran the Studio Club from 1922 to 1945 ().

Marilyn lived there twice :
- September 13, 1946-1947 : after having divorced from Jim Dougherty, while she was under contract with the Fox; she paid 15$ a week and shared the room n° 307 with an actress named Clarice Evans.
- June 3, 1948 : she had her own room, n° 334; the first 6 months of the rent (300$) were paid by Lucille Ryman. She stayed there intermittently with the guest house of Joe Schenck, at the Karger's home and at Natasha Lytess' home.
