Norma Jeane spent most of this year at the orphanage (,

;,) and still attended the Vine Street school. She learned to swim and played in the soft-ball team.

Wednesday, February26 Grace officially applied for her guardianship.

She became her guardian on Friday, March 27 ().

In October Grace came and brought her back to her own home. Norma Jeane would live with the Goddards until November 1937.

Gladys was still at the psychiatric institution Agnew Stats Hospital.
