On July 10, 1953 Marilyn attended a party organized by the actor Danny Thomas for the creation of the Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

During this evening which took place at the Hollywood Bowl, she sang with Jane Russell.

On December 2, 1953, Marilyn attended the "Toys for Tot Campaign" sponsored by the US Marines Corps,for

collecting some toys for disadvantaged children -,,

In 1955 Jane Russell begged her help for the WAIF, an association which placed abandonned children in foster

care .

On March 30, 1955 she rode a pink elephant in a party which took place at the Mike Todd's Circus in favor of the Arthritis and Rheumatic Affections Foundation at the Madison Square Garden.

On January 28, 1958 she attended a fashion show at the Waldorf Astoria, New York City, for the "Dime March", bound to help the children affected by poliomyelitis.

In February 1962, during her trip in Mexico, she visited an orphanage and gave a 10 000$ check

She joined the SANE, an organization against the nuclear weapons.

She made her last public appearance at the Chavez Ravin Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, on June 1, 1962, the day of her 36th birthday, to the benefit of the fight against a muscular disease.

The last charitable donation she did was the most important : her will.
In the movie world and among her friends, she had the reputation of a big generosity because she helped the people as soon as she could.

Her stand-in, Evelyn Moriarty remembered that on the shooting of "Let's Make Love"(1960), she gave a 1000$ check to one of the crew member who needed this money to pay his wife funeral.

In appreciation of her love for children, the writer Gloria Steinem and the photographer George Barris created a help fund for disadvantaged children by giving, as first contribution, the copyrights of their book "Marilyn Norma Jeane".
